tax credit workshop 002

CHAMPAIGN – Champaign County small business owners will have the opportunity to attend a free Minimum Wage Tax Credit workshop thanks to State Senator Scott Bennett (D-Champaign).

The event hosted by Bennett’s office, the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) and the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce will be held Feb. 11 from 2-3 p.m. at the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce (303 W. Kirby Ave., Champaign).

“This informative workshop will help equip small business owners with the tools they need to apply for the minimum wage tax credit,” Bennett said. “Small business owners have the right to know about the changes to minimum wage to ensure they are taking advantage of possible savings.”

Nick Austin of the IDOR will present at the workshop and provide assistance to business owners. Bennett encourages small businesses to take advantage of this tax credit and participate in the February workshop.

For more information or to RSVP, please contact Senator Bennett’s office at 217-355-5252 or SenatorBennett.com, or visit IDOR’s website tax.illinois.gov.
